Fire extinguishing systems with HFC125 gas

Fire extinguishing systems with HFC125 gas

Reference number: HFC125

Fire extinguishing systems with HFC125 gas.

The HFC-125 system meets the strict criteria required for extinguishing agents used for extinguishing inhabited areas. The system complies with BDS EN 15004-4:2009.

The HFC-125 system quickly and safely extinguishes the fire within 10 seconds

Uncontrolled fire has always been the enemy of mankind. Of the many methods, substances that are used to prevent, control and extinguish fire, the gas fire extinguishing system with HFC-125 agent offers unique advantages over traditional gas agents. It is safe for people, safe for equipment and is an environmentally preferred alternative to Halon.

Safe for people

Extremely suitable for extinguishing fires in enclosed spaces requiring a high concentration of the extinguishing agent and at the same time the presence of personnel in it. They terminate the combustion process within 10 seconds. at relatively high concentrations of oxygen in the air, where there is no risk to people, their normal activity and breathing are not disturbed. Most systems with HFC-125 are designed with a concentration of 8.7%, while the standard allows levels of 50%. Currently, systems with the extinguishing agent HFC-125 have the highest level of safety for people.

Safe for the environment

Like many fluorine-based gases, HFC-125 has a global warming potential. However, the overall effect is minimized by using a low frequency compared to other fire extinguishing systems, as well as the extremely low concentration required for release into the environment. In addition, when HFC-125 fire extinguishing systems reach the end of their useful life, they can be reclaimed into a medium for use in other systems. HFC-125 acts as a long-term insurance providing increased safety for people and material values with minimal impact on the environment.

Advantages

HFC-125 is electroneutral, non-corrosive and non-marking. As a gaseous agent, HFC-125 spreads rapidly within the protected area and extinguishes the fire. Operations can resume immediately after the fire damage has been repaired. HFC-125 is a clean extinguishing agent and leaves no traces or contamination after extinguishing that would cause damage or pose a problem for post-fire clean-up. This means less damage, collateral and minimal disruption to the technological process, reducing the potential costs of a possible fire.

"Fire Technics" OOD designs, installs and maintains HFC 125 fire extinguishing systems according to the requirements of BDS EN15004-1 "STATIONARY FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS. GASEOUS EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS" Part 1: Design, installation and maintenance (ISO 14520-1:2006 with amendments).

HFC125 fire extinguishing systems comply with BDS EN15004-4 - Part 4: Physical properties and design of gas extinguishing systems with HFC 125 extinguishing agent (ISO 14520-8:2006 with amendments).
